Being a southern region, why said people of Saigon are not accustomed to transport by waterway?

If say like that, we don’t understand the history and people of Saigon. Saigon was inherently area of river more than 300 years. Moreover, not only people in Saigon, people in southern, central and northern but also tourists are fond of travelling by waterway. Let's look beyond Thailand, Paris, London... to design overall of transportation systems waterway- road - underground.

It is available for waterway, why we don’t use it? Study traffic according to tides or upgrade a few bridges or dredge rivers, embankments and build some piers ... those mustn’t be something terribly, out of reach for us, why don’t improve it?

Former Saigon, there were dense houses & pollution; currently, houses clearance and ventilation, economic has been developed; traffic jam situation is urgent. Necessary and sufficient conditions are available, why don’t do right now?

We should be researched overall & carried out “Saigon must be used waterway to rescue road traffic” for a long time.

I think that this project has to implement right not only to prevent traffic jams but also make city beautiful and grow self-motivated of the city. Moreover, it will help renovate and upgrade the living environment of the city. In all of things worthy to do, it should be No. 1.

I myself have had comments on the forum of transport issue of bus (bus system built by the circle connecting inside & outside, but not the radial), the bridge system of canals linking passageways under the bridge and waterway transportation systems, but so far not realized as my dream, who loved Saigon so much.

Hope leaders of City pay more attention. Thank you for listening and understanding.
