(Dân Việt) -HCM City People's Committee has approved the proposal of Daily Company (Daily Express) on the opening of the pilot river bus route.

Yesterday (August 3^rd), Mr. Tran The Ky - Deputy Director of HCMC Department of Transportation & Traffic said the Department will coordinate with other departments to consider and evaluate the projects opening two lines of public transport by waterway before submitting for approval of People's Committee.

In the present, People's Committee has approved proposal Daily Company (Daily Express) on the opening of the pilot river bus route, from Binh Quoi wharf (Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc District) to Bach Dang wharf (District 1) and the route from Ben Nghe - Tau Hu (from Bach Dang wharf, along canal of East – West Boulevard and ends at the Lo Gom bridge).

Mr. Ky has considered that if canoes of river bus operate effectively, the positive impact in solving traffic jams in roads as well as promoting tourism activities by waterways in the city.
